PL58 AC series off-line planar transformers for 100–300 W forward and 150–600 W phase-shift full-bridge converters, with 8 mm creepage and 3000 Vrms primary-to-secondary isolation. Self-shielding, high-permeability construction keeps losses low from 100 kHz to 1 MHz; reference designs include a 200 W telecom quarter-brick forward and a 360 W PSFB IBA supply from a PFC rail.

Notes

PL58 AC series planar transformers suit off-line converters: forward with active or resonant reset, phase-shift full bridge, LLC and asymmetrical half-bridge.
Power rating is 100–300 W typical with forward topology and 150–600 W using PSFB, over a 100 kHz to 1 MHz frequency range.
Reference design 1 — telecom quarter-brick forward, active clamp at 68% duty and 300 kHz, delivering 200 W at 3.3 V nominal and 33 A.
Reference design 2 — OEM IBA distributing +12 V from a PFC off-line source; PSFB at 90% duty and 250 kHz delivering 360 W (+12 V at 30 A) from 200–420 Vdc. Transformer loss ~4 W at 85 °C PCB heat sink, hot spot below 125 °C.
Mechanical configuration is available as SMT, thru-hole, pad-to-pad or embedded multilayer in the main PCB; contact the factory for options and technical support.
